Community Partner Grant Program

Since 2020, Outschool.org has partnered with over 25 community-based organizations, charter and public schools, and homeschooling co-ops across the country. We have donated more than $2M in grants through a competitive application process. Outschool.org provides both funding and capacity-building support to co-design and implement academic and enrichment programs.

Outschool.org's experienced program managers collaborate with community partners to develop impactful programs for learners. They identify goals and measurement, determine budget on educational and virtual learning resources, and determine design (e.g., course or tutoring dosage). Program managers build capacity and provide coaching throughout program implementation to ensure effectiveness.

This year, Outschool.org onboarded our third cohort of community partners. With an increasing number of states embracing a more robust educational choice movement by enacting Education Savings Accounts, and local parent organizations receiving and advocating for direct-to-family microgrants, we see a greater opportunity to support learners across a wide spectrum of nontraditional and traditional learning options.

For our 2023-2024 cohort, we were thrilled to receive nearly 350 applications from national organizations, community-based organizations, public and private K-12 schools, homeschools, and microschools representing 43 states and collectively serving 2.7 million learners and their families.
