HOME READING PROGRAM
Overview
The home reading program will begin in January 2025 to support early reading skills for Pre-Kindergarten through second grade students (ages 4-8). It is run by NYC-based nonprofit, Outschool.org.
Participating families will receive one or more reading products to use at home to provide extra support for students. Outschool.org will provide support to help families make the most of the products they receive.
You and your child will gain confidence practicing reading at home and develop positive reading habits that can last a lifetime!
Approach
The Collective Impact Fund develops programming through a cohort model based on subject and age focus.
Our first cohort leverages three innovative and complementary early literacy products to address the literacy gap prevalent in low-income communities. Outschool.org is working closely with company leadership to define priority learning questions, program design, and select implementation partners to reach learners.
We are recruiting additional companies to join the initial cohort or future cohorts. Participating companies contribute both cash to Outschool.org to run the program and donated products.
Join the growing portfolio of Outschool investors and Outschool.org partners.
