Implementation Tips for Homeschools and Community-Based Organizations

  • Set Up Teacher Dashboard: Create a teacher account and add your learners. Use the teacher dashboard to monitor progress and assign specific lessons based on individual learning needs.

  • Assign Lessons Based on Learning Goals: Use the "Assignments" feature to schedule lessons, quizzes, and tests. Customize assignments to fit each learner’s pace and focus on areas where they need improvement.

  • Utilize Mastery Learning: Encourage learners to complete lessons until they reach mastery. This allows them to fully understand concepts before moving on to more advanced topics.

  • Track Progress: Regularly review the progress reports in the teacher dashboard to identify strengths, gaps, and areas where additional practice is needed.

  • Set Schedules and Goals: Develop a flexible learning schedule that suits your homeschool or organization’s routines, and set weekly or monthly learning goals with learners to maintain steady progress. Help learners to track their minutes each day with daily and weekly goal trackers.

  • Incorporate Group Learning: If teaching multiple children, consider assigning the same or complementary lessons to foster group discussions and collaborative learning.

  • Supplement with Real-World Activities: Combine Khan Academy lessons with hands-on learning activities to reinforce concepts, especially in subjects like science and math.
