THE COLLECTIVE IMPACT FUND
Opportunity
The next generation of education companies have shown they have the power to revolutionize learning and improve student outcomes. Working collectively, they are able to put their values of equity and access into practice by providing low-income learners with free access to their products.
Why Outschool.org
Outschool.org has deployed more than $100M to low-income families through privately and publicly-funded education family scholarship programs.
Outschool.org has designed programming with more than 40 community-based organizations and state agencies leveraging dozens of high-quality education and wellness products to meet learners’ unique needs and interests.
Approach
The Collective Impact Fund develops programming through a cohort model based on subject and age focus.
Our first cohort leverages three innovative and complementary early literacy products to address the literacy gap prevalent in low-income communities. Outschool.org is working closely with company leadership to define priority learning questions, program design, and select implementation partners to reach learners.
We are recruiting additional companies to join the initial cohort or future cohorts. Participating companies contribute both cash to Outschool.org to run the program and donated products.
